Before I Head Out…
- Once I step out of here, I won’t be back ‘til after midnight.
- First up, I’m picking up a piddly little paycheck for an article that never got published. Well, I still get paid anyway. This means more beer money for…
- Loquy at ’70s Bistro tonight. It’s been far too long since I last saw them play. If anyone here’s interested in a dose of Sensitive Male Rock (I first heard that term from subdivided) courtesy of Razorback’s Kevin Roy and company, do yourself a favor and check it out.
- But before that, I’ll be attending a press screening in Makati for Contraband.
- Things are looking good today, seriously.

A Shining Example of Excellent Planning
So apparently, my high school’s having a Grand Alumni Homecoming on the 28th. As far as I know, these things take months or even up to a year to plan. Thing is, my batch, or at least members of my class, was informed about it just a few days ago.
So, in light of that, here’s my reaction to all of this.
I’ll probably show up, it’s my high school after all. Thing is, we might be required to drop around PhP 1,500 (somewhere in the range of $30-35) to get in. I’m sorry, but you lost me at “fucking expensive entrance fee”.

Here’s a poster I created for a friend’s upcoming birthday party. It just might be the most girly thing I’ve ever had the opportunity of designing. I mean, look at all that pink, and the makeup in the background, too. (The girl’s a huge fan of makeup)
If my memory serves me right, I lost nearly an entire Saturday to this, since I had a couple of other designs that I ended up sending to the scrap heap.
And finally, this’ll be the second out of three GeekFights I’m attending for this month (new personal record!), the third one will be at Last Home over in Mandaluyong. And on a final note, Tala’s party will be the second event I’ll have to attend in costume for this month.
